My classes resumed last Tuesday. I’m officially a college senior. (Yikes! I’m getting old.
)
My first class is at 8am. And for someone who’s not really a morning person, the whole “waking up” process is a complete struggle. I’m not really the type who gets up right away the moment I open my eyes. I still stay in bed for a couple of minutes more, say my prayers, check my mobile, “close” my eyes for 5 10 20 minutes and will not budge until I realize that I’m about to be late.
That’s why I try to avoid taking those early classes. (hee
)
This time though, I have no choice cause they’re the only ones available plus they fit perfectly on my intended Tuesday-Thursday (TH) schedule. I thought that since I’ll only be having classes twice a week, things will be a little less stressful with all my free days.
But I was wrong. After having all my classes, I felt so exhausted not to mention so hungry that I’m already hearing angels and seeing a tunnel of light. (nah I’m only exaggerating but I was really really hungry then.
)
Still, I love my TH schedule. I especially like my professors this term. I have a feeling though that their subjects will be extra-challenging. One of my professors in particular, is the college Dean.
I find him very nice though. And very techy too. While most teachers get dirty using chalk, he has everything on PowerPoint. And I think he has three laptops and all those other gadgets. He also brings to class his assistant to take care of all the setups.
But its not really the techy-ness that made me admire this Professor of mine but I guess, his character. He openly admits being new to the field hes teaching and teaching the course would also be a learning experience to him. That’s exactly his reason for teaching Growth Economicsso hell learn more about the subject as well.
Thats great humility in my humble opinion.
With that said, Im looking forward to the many things Ill learn this term.
In other news, Carrie Underwood is the new American Idol! I was so thrilled she won. I’ve been secretly rooting for her since the beginning. Anyway, I’ve seen her rendition of Guy Sebastian’s Angels Brought Me Here, and it was amazing! I got teary-eyed the first time I watched it. I know she wouldn’t see this but nevertheless, congrats to you Carrie!

Also, while listening to my Hale CD, my mom commented that the band sounded good and was surprised when I told her that they’re in fact, Pinoy. My mom like it so much that she asked for a copy. Hehehe my mom has the coolest music taste ever. (Mana sakin
)
By the way, I heard them play last night at Magic 89.9’s Live na Live and man! They were sooooo good! Even their Radiohead and Coldplay covers were done so well. I also like how the members, in spite of their success, remain humble. Plus Champ’s darn cute. I’m in love.![]()
Anyway, I got the same reaction from my Mother when I played his concert CD in the car.
