Creepy that quizzes like this one, which really doesn’t have any scientific basis, would actually produce a result that has some truth to it. I will highlight what’s applicable to me.

Random events for the past 2 days

Met up with a good friend of mine back in college - Tanya, who like me is a closet kikay. We talked about work, make up and skincare. Sooo not like us. Nonetheless, it was a very fun and informative conversation. Can’t wait to try your make-up recommendations. lol. We should have this more often.
Watched the anti-Arroyo protesters march along the streets of Ayala Avenue from my window.

Movie to Recommend

I watched Juno last night. Loved everything about it. From the intro, to the plot, to the script, the soundtrack, the retorts, the characters, everything. I found myself literally laughing out loud at Juno’s witty lines. And Michael Cera’s dorkiness is adorable, just like in Superbad. I crush him! ♥ lol

3-day Sale

There’s a 3-day sale at SM Centerpoint (which is just a few steps away from our house). I just found out when I dropped by a while ago to get my hair trimmed. I decided to look around and see if there’s anything worth buying. And I think luck was on my side today because I kept on getting good deals. 1) P30 off from the original price of my haircut+eyebrow threading 2) VMV superskin2 toner, moisturizer and cleanser - all gotten at a discounted price. As in 100/150-peso off from the original price. And as if the discounts weren’t enough, I got another 10% discount because I exceeded P1000. after all the maths, I ended up paying only P972 for all 3 products. So happy! 3) New shoes from Celine. no discounts here, but i’m very happy to have found a pair that fits well, and for only P599. Lately I’ve been having a hard time finding shoes my size. Don’t know if my feet had shrunk or size 5 got bigger . So thank God for this pair.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchases. Yehey!

16MayNew Look

After tweaking with Mr. Andy Peatling’s gorgeous Word Press theme, I was finally able to customize it to my own liking. I totally dig this shade of green and pink! Still need to fix a few things though, since I can’t seem to make the “torn look” work in Internet Explorer. (so get firefox now and save yourself from the suckiness that is IE :wink I hope I’ll figure that one out eventually.

In other news, Tinay and I will go ~~shopping~~ hunting for a potential graduation dress ~~tomorrow~~ (change of plans! ). There’ll be no spending involved, since I’ll only be trying on dresses to see what style is suitable for my built. (..that is devoid of sexiness) I was told to bring a camera so I could take pictures of myself in those dresses and see how’d I look in them. Now I find that weird at first. But after she told me that the other purpose of that is so we could look for a similar dress supporting a much reasonable price–I changed my mind and now think that it was a brilliant idea. (cheapskate! )

Speaking of graduation dresses, I remember Cynthia and I browsing through prom sites a few weeks ago looking for dresses. I came across some pretty cute ones

I personally like the third one cause I like that it’s simple yet elegant at the same time.

And I thought once your done with all of your subjects and passed all your requirements, you’ll no longer worry about school. Boy was I wrong. I never imagined my graduation to be this demanding, not to mention expensive.

The last time I went to Divisoria, I was with my blockmates and had only 400 pesos to spend. Although I wasn’t new to Divi (Been going there with my mom on several occasions), it was my first time then to visit the famous 168 mall.

Completely overwhelmed by the multitude of clothes, shoes, accessories and what-have-yous I saw the moment I stepped in, I froze for about 10 seconds, took a deep breath, while my friends rushed to get their shopping finds.

I walked at a slow pace, scanning the different shops to see if there’s something that interests me. Of course there were. Lots actually. Ironically, that was the reason why it took me quite some time to buy something—there were too many items to choose from that I simply don’t know where to start and which ones to get.

Add the fact that I have limited funds. I held on to my 400 bucks for quite a while before I made my first purchase which was, I think, a skirt I bought for around a hundred. I can’t even remember. :oops:

What I remember is that the day ended well. With sore feet and empty pockets, but happy nonetheless. Carrying big plastic bags full of goodies well-bargained for.

I tell this story because a while ago, I had a chance to go back to 168. I was with my mother this time and with more money to spend. (thank you ninong and ninang ;) )

I bought a new wallet because my old one’s too worn out to serve its purpose (coins kept dropping out of the wallet even if it’s closed—haha that’s how kawawa my wallet was. Asked my friends). Two pants and two shoes—formal ones for my OJT. And inner blouses. Most of them, as I mentioned were for my OJT since I’ll be required to dress up in office wear. And belts too, since I only have 2 and they’re also about to retire. I think I spent around 1500. Not bad.

I didn’t buy earrings (which were all over the place) or those “uso” necklaces or those metallic step-ins. I was about to buy this nice brown jacket but decided not to the last minute.

Gosh, you know what I’ve just realized? That I’m such a KJ shopper. I’m not really impulsive and that I *think* I’m actually frugal. Especially if I’d be spending something that I earned. (even though this one’s aguinaldo) I don’t know.. maybe cause I’m always told to spend money wisely as the country is in crisis and only buy things that I need. That, or because I was fed with too much Economics.

Though I’ll never be a good shopping buddy (since I’m dead boring), I’m still happy that at least I’m mindful of my expenses. With only a term away from graduation, I’m inches away from working and earning my own money. Thus, I need to learn early on how to
spend my hard-earned salary wisely. ;)

In other news

My transition from Blogger to Wordpress went well except for minor but forgivable errors (missing titles, quotation marks and apostrophes not showing up on older, blogger entries). I downloaded a theme somewhere and tweaked it around a bit. I have this current penchant for the colors pink and green, floral and Damask designs, and anything that has to do with flying. Thus, the look of my current theme.
